Hours Open
Play Haven opens at 6:30 A.M. except Play Haven Vilas L.L.C. Which opens at 6:45 A.M.: the infant room closes at 5:30 P.M. and the other rooms close at 6:00 P.M.  Half days are 7:00am -12:00am or 2:00pm – 6:00pm (5:30 for infants).  Full days are a scheduled 5-10 hours. If children attend Play Haven more than 10 hours a day, there will be an additional charge of $3.00 per child per day added to the weekly tuition (no sibling discount applies).  Please be aware that children arriving during our scheduled nap time on a regular basis have a much harder time adjusting to our program, therefore we do not recommend part-time afternoon schedules.

Enrollment Fee
An enrollment fee of $50.00 is charged for all new family enrollments.  A $25.00 enrollment fee is charged for all re-enrollments (if child is withdrawn and returned) within a calendar year or siblings enrolled at a later date. These amounts are non-refundable.

Days Closed & Holiday Hours                                 

Play Haven is open year round, but will be closed the following days: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  Play Haven will close early on Christmas Eve at 12:00 P.M., New Year’s Eve at 3:00 P.M.    No tuition credit is given for these days. Play Haven Centers started in 1967 and have never closed due to bad weather; many parents must go to work. 

Trial Period

After enrollment, your child will be at Play Haven for a trial period of three weeks to judge his/her ability to adjust socially and emotionally. 

Child’s Vacation Leave From Center
After you are through your trial period, you may receive tuition credit for two weeks vacation leave during the calendar year (with no carry over).  It is necessary to take vacation leave by the week (Monday through Friday) only, not by the day.  Advance written notice of your vacation leave schedule needs to be given to director to receive proper credit.

Sibling Discount
Play Haven does give a discount for more than one child from the same family for regularly scheduled attendance. Please see your center director for details.

Children's records are kept in the office and an emergency health card is kept in the classroom.

Before You Start
Before your child starts at Play Haven, we require a visit by the parent to view the center and the program, meet our staff, and to give you all of the admission information required for your child.  Following your visit, we require notification from the parent to set up your child’s start date.  Your child’s first day of attendance must be scheduled with the center director in advance.
